Please tell me, is it possible to add data using the action "Add entry to the directory based on the value of an additional process field" or maybe there are other actions for such a check?
Before creating, it is necessary to check the presence of such a record for a certain field and, if it exists, issue an error or update the value (you can choose). Because at the moment I have constant duplications.
Is this possible or what is the cost of such a modification? Thank you!

There are no special settings there, it's essentially a register of organization members, I need it to not create duplicates, and if necessary, update the data in a specific record.

Judging from your reference, the duplicates that can be created are complete duplicates of a line. And if you count a duplicate as a piece of a line, then such a check will not work.
You can set the registration number to only unique values and the action will not create a new record in the table as long as there is a record with that number.
To edit/delete a value from the directory, you can use the action "Edit directory entry based on process fields"
