Good afternoon
Let's go in order, I will personally describe to you my point of view and it is not an official response from OneBox.
1. No one takes away your perpetual licenses from you, you have a boxed version, you bought yourself software along with perpetual licenses, no one takes them away, use it to your health.
2. Regarding $40,000, firstly, I filter payments by you and see what you have paid in the entire history of the company
- web production 330k UAH (here all payments until OneBox split into partners)
further 2 years ago, when we split into partners, I can’t track to whom and how much you paid, I know that 95,000 UAH came from you for improvements over 2 years, I don’t know how much you paid earlier to Implementation partners, but I assume that no more than 150- 200 thousand UAH for 2 years.
In total, I see an adequate investment of $ 20,000, I think that you exaggerated the figure.
3. Regarding the situation in the country, we made a new product before the war, and released it before the war, invested $600,000 in development. This product is not an update, but is a new intellectual property, it has all the documents and licenses. Yes, we moved about 50% of the functionality that was previously but in a new architectural form so that it can be scaled to a large business, + added many new things, both background and visual. I personally am not engaged in marketing, sales, or implementation, for me it’s absolutely all the same whether old customers buy new software or not, I focus on new ones.
Regarding the support of the old one, we sawed and supported the old software for 10 years, the lifetime of any software according to the law is 5 years, the rent for customers on the old version was 15%, why should we continue to support the software? , we supported the old product for a very long time at our own expense, but at the moment it’s not just expedient, old customers sit on boxes and don’t pay us anything, we don’t earn anything from them, 200-300 hours of MVP improvements per year is nothing easy to cover the cost of old software. Also for example - why even such giants as Microsoft stopped supporting windows xp at one time? and they did not care about those who bought it for money.
At the beginning of the war, we abandoned the clients of Rashka and Belarus and this was -30% immediately, then we lost 70% of the OneBox lease, since everyone was not up to the software and 90% of the implementation (although OneBox itself does not earn anything from the implementation!), Total company could not even maintain and pay for its infrastructure, the company was really on the verge of survival and the personal investments of some managers in the company saved it and helped to stay afloat, and then only we were able to raise everything by selling new software closer to the middle of summer and only thanks to the OS , while the old clients recovered only by 20%, the rest had their factories destroyed and so on, therefore it was decided to abandon the MVP, since we have fulfilled all the obligations under this version and there is simply no prospect of earning on the MVP, it is logical to develop new software. Therefore, putting pressure on the situation in the country is absurd, if you do not even know what we have encountered during this time.
Once again I emphasize, no one takes anything away from you, you can finish your system with the help of freelancers or third-party developers (I'm sure that there are even integrators who are ready to support MVP in terms of settings and consultations), but for me and my developers this is a passed stage.

if initially there was a principle of rent and not a "perpetual license", then there were no questions, and here the line is very thin, on the one hand, you understand the developers, but on the other hand, now you really survive and the fact that the initial approach with perpetual licenses turned out to be a dead end is not the fault of customers this is a miscalculation and a deliberate miscalculation of marketing, so I fully support Vladislav and understand the developers. a compromise must be found.
