Setting Default Filters

Is it possible to add default date settings to reports?
For example, what would the date be if you defaulted to the current month, or the current day, or the current week?
Original question is available on version: ru

Answers:

By default, is it some kind of static date? If so, then it can be done through the link. And it is necessary for the current month. If it is today's date, then from the 1st to the 31st of the 10th month. If 2.11, then from the 1st to the 30th of the 11th month.

by default, this is the type you specified the [cdate] variable and the system itself substitutes the date

Added settings to the specified filters
Formula to calculate date "from" by default
Formula to calculate "to" date by default

Does not work. Try to open https://crm.phdcare.com.ua/app/report/designer/18/view/
The date is set in the filters, but the report opens without filtering for everyone in the system at once.

yes, the field values are set, but you need to click Filter
for example, put the cursor on the field with the date and press Enter

So what's the point of this upgrade then? It was necessary that by default when you enter, that during the transition it would be immediately filtered and the result shown. Plus, when I try to remove from the filter and save it, it still appears here. This is not exactly what is needed.

In any case, the report will open unfiltered. Setting default values saves time on calculating and filling in the date before starting the filtering.
Removing a value in such filters without changing the filter settings will have no effect. The default value setting just keeps track of an empty value and always fills it.

It’s just that the problem now is that if you open these reports, they take a very long time to open, and the point was just to make it easier in such a way that supposedly variables are substituted into the link and automatically changed immediately in the filter and in this way speed up page loading. Is it still possible to do this? For example, even use Links and substitute [cdate], [cdate + 6 day] there, and thus the problem would be solved.

Hello!
It already works better, but now I can’t remove the date at all, but there should be an opportunity to remove it. In general, it should work like this once, that is, I go into the report, it immediately substituted the default dates for me, then I can make any changes that the variables should not affect. Because even now, it's inconvenient that I can't just clear the fields.

to be honest, it's not entirely clear, can you give an example

you can set a known maximum and minimum date to achieve the same effect

1. Here https://crm.phdcare.com.ua/app/report/desiner/15/view/ We put 2 filters, set variables, (Fig. 1) when opening the report - we see the variables , but filters only by the date of creation, for another to apply, it is necessary to filter the report. (Figure 2) Not logical, I would like the setting to work correctly in both cases.
2. When clearing the field for which the formula is set, it is necessary to filter by an empty value, because this is the default formula, and we already set ourselves from what and to what to filter. If I want to see the report for all time - I will remove one or 2 filter values and the report should show according to the filters that I set. Putting the maximum value is not an option at all. Reports are needed in order to display the big picture, with filled fields without filtering, this only confuses.
It should be like this, I opened the report, everything was pulled up by default (roughly speaking, this is very similar to a ready-made link with filtering), then I can change the filter as before. If I remove the value, it is not displayed.

Hello,
p.1 - corrected, now it immediately searches for another filter
p.2 - the idea has not yet been caught, do you want the system to understand when to substitute default values and when not?

Hello!
p.2 - as soon as I enter the report (for example, I just follow the standard link https://crm.phdcare.com.ua/app/report/desiner/15/view/ without parameters), the filter is pulled up by default (that is, what I would like the link to become with parameters), and then I use the report as usual. It turns out that if I go to the usual link https://crm.phdcare.com.ua/app/report/desiner/15/view/ , then it automatically pulls up the default values, for example, with today's date https://crm.phdcare. com.ua/app/report/desiner/15/view/?filter_order_paymentdatefrom=2022-01-20&filter_order_paymentdateto=2022-01-20&ok=Filter
And if I already follow a direct link with a filter, so that the default values are not pulled up.
Do you understand the logic? Can we record a video somehow?

at first they asked to make it substitute by default, but now it doesn’t)
we can offer if the link contains filter_order_paymentdatefrom filter_order_paymentdateto then the formula does not work
obtained with empty filter_order_paymentdateto and filter_order_paymentdatefrom - will calculate for the entire period
if 2h fits

Slightly disagree. We initially described in the "Default" specification, which means that when you enter the report, the default filter is pulled up, and when I already change the filter parameters (that is, I already set other non-default data), then it should already be filtered with the corresponding data. Somehow paying twice for the same thing is also not entirely correct.
Please reconsider the solution and correct the revision as it should be. Thank you.

this is how it works now
it was not about leaving them empty
and now no one bothers you to put dates for XXX years and see all the data
