You can do the opposite: what kind of cash register do you want to tie to the box and how exactly?
Who should issue checks: cash desk or OneBox?
I mean process:
we accept money > we issue a check > the cashier dumps data in OneBox
or
there is a deal in OneBox, we spend money there > onebox issues a check
In general, there are different ways depending on the task.
