Your guess was correct. When a new release is released, 95% of the functionality is done exclusively for it, in old branches only bugs are fixed and new improvements are occasionally made. Those. you can assume by default that there is no new functionality on your current branch and there will not be.

I do not quite agree, while reading Changelog I observe 60-90% of what is described on the old version!

it is your right to disagree. Perhaps you see more in the changelog, because the clients who order part of the improvements are on the same branch as you. From my experience, only 1 out of 5 tasks is done on revolution, the rest is in mvp/own branches.
