And if there are a large number of photos, they didn’t take a few crowns - break them up in portions of 1000 pieces and set tasks for a year’s crowns.
So now once a year you will have to re-adjust photos until you import everything.

The whole problem is that your links do not specify the http or https protocol - the server cannot get information about the size of the image from the link before downloading.
Added a check that if there is no protocol and this is a URL - download via http.
