We suggest displaying the current status on the "Status History" header. When the block is collapsed by default, this is especially true.
Or you can display two statuses on the header: ...Previous stage - Current stage

ok, I thought that would be the default.
maybe it's worth adding translucency for the previous stage? display will be clearer.
